What is Microsoft 365?
Microsoft 365 is a business productivity suite that combines email, office apps, meetings, file sharing and identity management under a subscription model. Available Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and Defender features vary by plan.
The same work account can be used across web, desktop and mobile clients. User creation, licence assignment and device policies are managed centrally. Microsoft 365 can reduce operational overhead, but retention, recovery and supplemental backup requirements still need a separate risk-based plan.
Why corporate email matters
Using a custom-domain address such as [email protected] instead of a personal [email protected] account keeps branding and account administration under the organisation's identity. Trust is not guaranteed by the address alone; authentication, content and sender reputation also matter.
Corporate email helps keep account lifecycle, access, retention and audit policies under company control. KVKK compliance is not achieved by product choice alone; legal basis, authorisation, retention and data-transfer processes must also be assessed.
Microsoft 365's 7 key components
1) Exchange Online (Corporate Email): Mailbox quota, mobile synchronisation, spam controls, shared calendars, distribution lists and shared-mailbox features are provided according to the selected licence. Vendor availability commitments are confirmed from the current Microsoft service agreement.
2) Outlook + Outlook on the web: Web and mobile Outlook access and desktop-app rights vary by licence tier. Supported device count and client features are confirmed against the current plan matrix.
3) Microsoft Teams (Meetings + Chat): Unlimited 1:1 + group chat, 300-participant video meetings (Standard tier), screen sharing, recording, online presentations, phone integration (Teams Phone add-on). Corporate Slack alternative.
4) Word + Excel + PowerPoint: Web apps and desktop installation rights vary by the selected Microsoft 365 plan. Device and user entitlements are confirmed against the current licence matrix before ordering.
5) OneDrive for Business (1 TB storage): 1 TB cloud storage per user. Auto file sync, version history, share links, external user sharing. Corporate security standard instead of local Dropbox/Drive.
6) SharePoint (Company Portal): Internal document management, intranet pages, team workspaces, shared libraries, workflow automation (with Power Automate). Acts as internal wiki + file server.
7) Microsoft Defender + Intune (on eligible plans): Provide authentication, email-security, endpoint/device-policy and conditional-access controls. These tools can support a compliance programme but do not by themselves guarantee KVKK compliance or prevent every breach.
Spam protection and security
Eligible Microsoft 365 plans can provide spam and malware filtering plus controls such as Safe Attachments and Safe Links. Active features depend on licensing and configuration; security outcomes are assessed alongside user training, identity policies and ongoing monitoring.
Within service scope, AIOR configures and validates SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. These controls support domain authentication and delivery reputation but do not guarantee inbox placement or a fixed reduction in spam classification.
Why buy Microsoft 365 from AIOR?
1) Licence and management scope together. When eligible, the Microsoft 365 licence is offered in the same proposal as domain verification, DNS changes, user creation and selected management tasks. Migration and device setup are scoped separately.
2) Scoped email migration. The source system, mailbox count, data volume and calendar/contact/rule compatibility are inventoried. Included migration scope, validation method, timing and possible exceptions are documented before work begins.
3) Turkish request handling + consolidated invoice. Support requests are accepted in Turkish 24/7; human response, working hours and critical-incident coverage follow the selected SLA. Eligible services can be shown on one invoice under applicable e-document rules.
4) Integrated setup with AIOR. MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and Autodiscover records are inventoried, changed in a controlled manner and tested. The old mail system is retired according to the agreed plan after sample data and mail flow are validated.
5) Support for compliance controls. AIOR invoices through its legal entity in Türkiye. Tenant data location, cross-border transfer mechanism, retention and access policies are reviewed against customer requirements; using Microsoft 365 alone does not constitute KVKK compliance.
