Domain Backorder Assessment
If you are interested in a domain expected to drop, submit a preliminary request. We review its current registration status, available backorder channel and provider terms, then disclose scope and price in writing before any commitment. A successful catch cannot be guaranteed.
How Does Backorder Work?
- Request: submit the domain, your max bid (optional) and contact email.
- Assessment: current WHOIS/RDAP status, extension rules and any estimated deletion timeline are reviewed.
- Options: an available registrar or backorder service is identified together with its current terms.
- Approval: method, fee, renewal price and any auction conditions are disclosed in writing.
- Execution: only after written approval is the request placed through the relevant provider; outcome and registration details are reported.
Pricing
The preliminary assessment is free. Backorder, auction and annual registration charges are itemised in a written quote after the available channel and current TLD tariff are confirmed.
Place a Backorder Request
- The preliminary request and initial status review are free; this form creates no purchase commitment
- Create separate preliminary requests for multiple domains
- The maximum-bid field is budget information only; it is not auction or automatic-spend authority
- Status, available method and current provider terms are shared by email after review
- No fee is charged and no paid action starts until separate written approval
Service Principles
- Status validation: current registration, expiry and deletion information is checked through appropriate WHOIS/RDAP sources
- Channel transparency: the registrar or third-party backorder service is disclosed before ordering
- Itemised costs: service, auction and registration/renewal charges are shown separately
- No unauthorised spend: budget information in the form is never treated as automatic bidding or payment authority
- No outcome guarantee: the registrant, registry and competing requests are outside AIOR's control
FAQ
Is backorder guaranteed?
No. Renewal, deletion timing, registry rules and competing requests affect the outcome. AIOR does not publish a success-rate or guarantee a catch; the available channel and fee are confirmed in writing after assessment.
How early should I submit?
Submit as early as practical. Deletion and redemption periods vary by extension and registry; an estimated timeline can only be provided after reviewing the domain's current status.
What if someone else also backorders the same domain?
If there are multiple requests or an external auction, the applicable process and cost are disclosed in writing before any commitment. The maximum bid entered in the form is budget information only.
I'm not sure the domain will drop — can I still submit?
Yes. The form creates a preliminary request; our team reviews the domain's current status and any suitable service channel. We cannot guarantee that the domain will drop or when it may become available.
Does submitting a request create an order or payment commitment?
No. The form creates a preliminary assessment record. No service starts until the available method, price, provider terms and payment steps are approved in a separate written quote.
