Why do you need Additional IPs?
**1) Multiple SSL certificates:** For multi-SSL on different domains on the same server (especially when needing non-SNI compatibility for old browsers), you may need a separate IP per domain.
**2) Reseller hosting:** Assigning different IPs per customer or brand provides network isolation and white-label experience.
**3) Email server (SMTP reputation):** Separate IP per email domain reduces blacklist risk and protects sender reputation.
**4) High availability (failover):** A failover design can move traffic to another server after health checks and orchestration. It reduces interruption risk but requires testing and does not guarantee zero downtime.
**5) SaaS applications:** Assign dedicated IP per customer (e.g. in SaaS multi-tenant apps) for easy identification and API rate-limiting.
What's included?
Anti-DDoS, IPv6, virtual MAC, vRack and geolocation options vary by IP product and provider policy. Included scope, stock and requested location are confirmed in writing before ordering.
When included in the proposal, AIOR handles IP attachment, network configuration and address provisioning in cPanel/Plesk. SSL binding and application-level changes are scoped separately.
