What is Google Workspace?
Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) is Google's cloud-based productivity suite for businesses. It combines Gmail, Drive, Meet and collaborative editing tools with web-focused administration and identity capabilities.
Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, Chat and eligible Gemini features are accessible through one work account. Feature scope, client behaviour and offline use vary by plan, device and application.
Why corporate email with Google Workspace?
Workspace Gmail combines search, labels, mobile clients and custom-domain business addresses. Users familiar with personal Gmail will recognise the interface, but managed-account, security and retention policies still require a short adoption plan.
Gmail provides built-in spam and phishing controls. Actual delivery and false-positive outcomes depend on domain reputation, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, user behaviour and administrator policies, so they are monitored in the customer environment.
Managed custom-domain accounts support access removal during offboarding, retention of business correspondence and, on eligible plans, Vault eDiscovery policies. Ownership, retention and KVKK obligations are determined by company policy and legal assessment.
Workspace key components
1) Corporate Gmail: Custom domain, group/distribution lists, label rules and eligible Gemini features vary by plan. Storage is pooled across Gmail, Drive and Photos; starting storage per user and additional-storage terms are confirmed from the current plan matrix. Aliases, delegation and shared-work patterns are subject to administrator policy and Google's limits.
2) Google Drive (Pooled Storage): Pooled storage across all users (Starter 30 GB/user, Standard 2 TB, Plus 5 TB). File sharing, version history, external partner sharing, Shared Drives (formerly Team Drives) for team file management.
3) Google Meet (Video Conferencing): Starter 100, Standard 150, Plus 500 participants. HD video, noise cancellation, real-time translation, meeting recording (Standard+), webinars (Plus). Slack/Teams alternative.
4) Docs / Sheets / Slides: Web-based document, spreadsheet and presentation tools with concurrent editing, version history and comments. Microsoft formats can be imported and exported; complex macros, fonts and layouts are tested with pilot files.
5) Google Calendar: Shared calendar, meeting room booking, invite/RSVP, external attendee support, Microsoft Outlook interop, mobile push. Smart meeting time suggestion with Gemini AI.
6) Gemini AI (Inside Workspace): Eligible plans, regions and languages may provide generative-AI features in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides or Meet. Active scope is confirmed before ordering against the current product matrix and a demo account.
7) Google Vault + Endpoint Management: Eligible plans provide eDiscovery, retention, device management, context-aware access and DLP controls. They support a compliance programme but do not establish KVKK compliance on their own.
Spam protection and security
Gmail applies spam and phishing controls using sender reputation, content, link/attachment behaviour and authentication signals. Confidential mode provides some forwarding, download and expiry controls, but it cannot technically prevent screenshots or all onward sharing by an authorised recipient.
Workspace provides controls such as encryption in transit and at rest, SSO/SAML, two-step verification, security keys and suspicious-sign-in alerts. Google's certificates and audit reports are verified against their current official scope; they do not automatically establish the customer's KVKK compliance.
Why buy Google Workspace from AIOR?
1) Defined setup scope. AIOR handles selected setup steps such as domain verification, MX, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, user creation and client connectivity. Migration and device setup are scoped separately according to the source system and user count.
2) Management and maintenance option. User lifecycle, group administration, retention and security-policy changes follow the task allowance and approval process in the selected management plan. Included maintenance scope is shown in the product details.
3) Current pricing and local invoice. Licence, setup, migration, DNS and management items are shown separately or as a bundle in the current proposal. AIOR invoices follow applicable e-document rules; the customer's tax adviser should confirm any deduction or accounting treatment.
4) Scoped email migration. Source accounts, data volume and email/label/calendar/contact compatibility are inventoried first. The move uses pre-copy, controlled MX cutover, final sync and sample validation; timing and exceptions are documented in the proposal.
5) Controlled domain integration. When the domain is within AIOR DNS scope, MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are inventoried, applied in a controlled manner and tested. Inbox placement is not guaranteed because delivery reputation also depends on recipient-side policies.
