ISO 9001 is not merely a set of Word templates. Change approval, test evidence and rollback records may live in Git history, CI logs and incident tickets. Those technical records support the quality system when aligned with document control, authority, retention and audit scope; they do not establish certification or conformity by themselves.
Minimum evidence set
- PR review record (who, when)
- Green CI build + test report
- Deploy log (who, which commit, which environment)
- Incident postmortem (root cause + action)
- Customer complaint → change linkage
Keep the process short
What matters is not procedure length but whether it is usable, scoped and aligned with records. Detail change control, automated evidence and human approval according to organisational risk and audit scope. A short document is not sufficient in every case.
Failing to produce evidence in daily work can make audit preparation harder. Embed appropriate evidence into the pipeline and workflow, then test access, retention and verification controls against the audit scope.
