PROJECT STORY

Project overview and scope

A digital platform raising environmental awareness with a recycling-points map, waste-type guide and community content.

CLIENT PROFILE

Client and industry context

Geri Dönüşüm is a Turkey-wide vertical platform aiming to raise awareness around waste management and support recycling practices. It offers a free listing infrastructure for buying/selling waste materials (glass, plastic, PET, paper) plus a content layer of sector blog/forum and regulatory information. The audience runs in both directions: B2B (waste producers, recycling facilities) and B2C (conscious consumers, sustainability followers).

PROJECT SCOPE

Target outcomes and scope

The aim was to build a platform that helps citizens find nearby recycling points, guides correct waste sorting, and gives space to community contribution.

TECHNICAL CHALLENGES

Constraints encountered in the field

Listings + content + community had to coexist as three modules under one platform — each with its own SEO strategy, management flow and moderation process. Map-based content ("recycling point") and sector-article content had to be optimised for the same search engine but for different intents; users arriving from a map and users arriving from an article had to flow into separate conversion paths.

IMPLEMENTATION APPROACH

Engineering and delivery methodology

A shared tag/category system links every listing, article and forum thread under one taxonomy. SEO uses separate XML sitemaps per module; listings carry Schema.org Product markup, articles use Article, and map points use LocalBusiness. Community contribution (suggest a new point + submit an article) flows through a moderated admin pipeline.
